The French media, Radio France Internationale RFI and France 24 have announced that they have been suspended in Niger.

The media group expressed its indignation at the suspension, which, it said further deprives citizens in the region of their access to information.

The press house of Niger for its part, said it considered the suspension of RFI and France 24 in the country to be a flagrant violation of the universal principles of respect for human rights which make public access and the right to information an inalienable right.

It should be noted that the Junta is yet to publicly react to any of these statements.
