Protesters continue to demonstrate in front of the French base in Niamey to demand the withdrawal of French forces from the country.

During a press conference held in Niamey over the weekend, the military-appointed Prime Minister indicated that negotiations were in progress to facilitate the departure of French forces from Niger.
