The new head of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) says “deep and wide-ranging” reforms of the organization are needed.

Speaking to the press after taking over as the new head on Monday, Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iweala says the global trade organization will not operate like “business as usual”.

She says a stronger WTO would be vital for the global coronavirus recovery.

She was appointed on Monday.
