Several non-governmental organizations have warned of the impact of ECOWAS’s economic and financial sanctions on displaced persons and vulnerable populations in the country.

This was the concern voiced by the NGOs in a joint statement over the weekend.

These organizations operating in Niger warn that the sanctions could exacerbate the humanitarian needs of the most vulnerable, potentially exposing women and children to greater risks.
