Speaking on the sidelines of the second ECOWAS summit, Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara reiterated the bloc’s commitment to end the wave of coups on the subregion.
President Ouattara recalled the historic timeline of coups in West Africa and described the continuous detention of President Mohammed Bazoum as a terrorist act.
He particularly on behalf of the Ivorian government endorsed ECOWAS’s decision of the use of force to uproot the putchists in Niamey.
