The Annual celebration of World No Tobacco Day this year reveals that its cultivation and production aggravate food and nutrition insecurity in Africa.
This is because it destroys ecosystems, impoverishes soils, defiles waters and pollutes the environment.
The World Health Organization WHO says while the number of users of tobacco products is decreasing in other regions of the world, it is constantly increasing in the continent.
