A new study in Cote d’Ivoire links violent extremism and illicit activities with the coastal countries of West Africa.
The report published Monday by the Institute of Security Studies indicates that parallel to the attacks carried out in north-eastern Côte d’Ivoire since 2020, violent extremist groups have also infiltrated the live-stock and illegal gold-mining sectors.
