Nearly 30 political parties in Liberia Tuesday signed an agreement known as the Farmington River Declaration to ensure a peaceful electoral process.
Signed under the auspices of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), and the National Elections Commission (NEC), the pact now requires political parties to institute measures to prevent electoral violence, and impunity, and promote peace.
