More than 200 school children were reportedly abducted by gunmen locally known as Bandits in the northwestern state of Kaduna.

The gunmen carried out the mass abduction after storming the primary school on Thursday morning just before the commencement of learning activities.

The administrative head of the community confirmed the occurrence to local media.
