More than twelve thousand displaced from two Malaian regions have been registered in Kidal.

These displacements were recorded in three days beginning on April 17, 2023.

An NGO, The Sahelian Association for Support to Decentralized Development revealed that most of them are from Tidermene and Samet from the Ménaka and Gao regions.

Like every other displacement crisis, the new arrivals need food, water, and shelter.
