Malian authorities announced on Monday, December 28, the opening of an investigation for "attacking the security of the State".

It marked the first time, that the authorities publicly stated that they suspect the involvement of personalities recently arrested in a de-stabilization project of institutions.

The claims come four months after the putsch that overthrew President Ibrahim Boubacar Keïta.
