The head of Niger’s ruling military, General Abdourhamane Tiani, is expected in Bamako today, Thursday for a friendly working visit.

This is his first trip outside Niger since taking power in late July.

Tiani together with his Malian counterpart, Colonel Assimi Goïta, will be discussing bilateral cooperation and the security situation in the Sahel.
