The government of Mali has denied any deployment of Russian mercenaries from the Wagner Group on its territory.
In a statement issued over the weekend, the authorities of the Malian transition demanded evidence to back suggestions that it had allowed a private security company to enter the country,
Meanwhile, local security sources confirmed to Anadolu Agency that at least 500 paramilitaries from the Wagner Group arrived in Bamako, Mali’s capital on Thursday.
