A delegation led by Chief Mediator in Mali political crisis Goodluck Jonathan have arrived in Bamako. This follows the latest coup in the country in violation of the agreed transition charter.

On Monday night, Mali's coup leader Assimi Goïta seized power again, ousting the president and prime minister.

The UN, AU, ECOWAS and world leaders have all condemned the second coup demanding the restoration of transition charter.

Lead Mediator in the country’s political crisis Goodluck Jonathan who was in Accra at the time of the incident for the Meeting of ECOWAS Council of the Wise ended the meeting abruptly, taking the first available flight to Bamako.
