The Malian government has banned the raw export of lithium from Goulamina in the Bougouni region.

For more than a month, Leo Lithium has suspended its listing on the Australian Securities Exchange.

The company, which owns the Goulamina lithium project, justifies this decision by confidential discussions it has had with the Malian authorities.

However, Bamako did not specify the reasons for the ban.

Oge Obierika completes the story.
