Despite Liberia’s favorable climate and fertile soil for crop production, the country has long struggled with food insecurity.
This challenge is exacerbated by extreme poverty and inefficiencies in the food and agricultural systems, compounded by the poor road network, which hampers the efficient transport of food across the country.
