The United Methodist Human Rights Monitor is condemning the killing of two civilians in Liberia by state security.
On Wednesday, the Liberian National Police forwarded to court, an agent of the Executive Protective Service—Patrick Kollie, for shooting to death a motorcyclist Valentine Johnson on Monday morning.
Another incident occurred Tuesday, when an officer with the Emergency Response Unit (ERU), James Togba, shot and killed another civilian, leaving another severely injured.
Reacting to these incidents, the United Methodist Human Rights Monitor program director, Jefferson Knight said it' about time to institute the needed reforms.
