Liberian Muslims are calling for an investigation into the failure of over 276 Liberian pilgrims to travel to Mecca despite paying over US$6,000 each to the government’s Hajj committee.
Of the over 453 Muslims who provided money to attend this year’s pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia, only 124 of them were allowed to travel, a situation for which the Muslim community is seeking explanations from the government.
