There is heightened tension in the Nimba County of rural Liberia as the two leading candidates contest last year’s senatorial election result.
Opposition candidate Nimba Edith Gongloe-Weh and declared winner Jeremiah Koung both claim they garnered the most votes in the December 8, 2020 poll with their supporters threatening to take action should the electoral commission fail to adjudicate an election dispute case.
