The government of Liberia through the Ministry of Youth and Sports has reactivated the re-cleaning of beaches and waterways project, geared towards creating a safe and healthy environment for citizens, specifically slum dwellers.

The project was initiated by former President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf in 2011, to restore dignity to Liberia’s beaches.
