Police in Liberia have launched an investigation into the reported rape and murder of a 32-year-old woman.
Police Spokesman Moses Carter told reporters in Monrovia Tuesday that the victim who was said to be mentally ill was discovered dead on a beach in the capital.
The Police also say crew members of the controversial Niko- Ivanka Ship that that recently sunk off the coast off Monrovia have been charged with negligent homicide, criminal conspiracy and other multiple offenses in connection with the alleged crime.
The incident led to the death of several employees of the West African Examination Council Monrovia office.
