Liberia on high alert for Marburg after outbreak in Guinea

Liberian Health authorities are on high alert following the discovery of two Cases of Marburg Hemorrhagic Fever in neighboring Guinea, close to the borders with Liberia.

This is the first time Marburg, a highly infectious disease that causes hemorrhagic fever, has been identified in the country, and in West Africa.
