Liberia’s House of Representatives has elected new delegates to the ECOWAS Parliament, marking a shift in the country’s regional legislative leadership. The move follows the recall of previous representatives due to controversies over their selection and compliance with ECOWAS protocols.
The election, conducted on Tuesday, aims to restore Liberia’s credibility in the regional body and ensure proper representation in decision-making at the ECOWAS level.
According to officials, this process aligns with Article 18 of the ECOWAS Protocols, reinforcing the country’s commitment to democratic governance within the West African bloc.
