Ivory Coast's ambassador to Turkey on Wednesday invited Turkish investors to the West African nation.
Khadidjata Toure told Anadolu Agency that between 2013 and 2021 bilateral trade volume increased to over $630 million from $200 million, adding that the figure should rise to billions.
“There are about 20 agreements signed between the two countries. For example, there are agreements that ensure mutual investments and abolish double taxation,” she added.
She went on to say that her government attaches great importance to technology transfer for economic development, stressing that the two are co-related.
Ivory Coast also wants to benefit from Turkish expertise in the field of defense and in the production of medical equipment, she added.
Expressing hope to strengthen relations in various fields, she invited Turkish business people to contribute to Ivory Coast's industrialization.
