Issues of rights violations are worrying says Burkina Faso's National Human Rights Commission.
That was part of the commission’s 2019/2020 report on rights issues presented to the Burkinabe President Roch Marc Christian Kabore 2021 year ending.
According to the rights commission, the years under review were marked by more than 750 attacks resulting in the death of over 1,500 civilians and 343 soldiers and police.
As Tofik Abdula Nasir reports, the committee calls for respect for international human rights law and national legislation in the fight against terrorism.
