The International Organization for Migration (IOM) and UNHCR, have condemned the handing over of 270 migrants and refugees to the Libyan Coast Guard by the ship named “Vos Triton”, sailing under the flag of Gibraltar.
The ship was said to have rescued the group in international waters during their attempt to reach Europe on June 14 and handed over to the Libyan Coast Guards who on June 15, returned them to the main port of Tripoli, from where they were taken into detention.
