The United Nations International Organization for Migration and other partners have commenced a mitigation project aimed at tackling farmer-herder conflicts in Nigeria’s North Eastern state of Adamawa.
The project tagged “Contributing to the Mitigation of Conflict over Natural Resources between Farmer and Herder Communities, aims to explore mechanisms that will improve access to early warning signals and trends to forestall any attack.
There will also be the deployment of transhumance of data collection and information management systems to give off early warnings of any attack.
