Human Rights Watch has described the March 16 arrest of an alleged former Gambian death squad member, as an important step for Gambian victims and international justice.
Bai Lowe was arrested on Tuesday in Germany for crimes against humanity committed in the Gambia between 2003 and 2006.
In a statement issued in Wednesday, the Human rights group noted that the arrest of the former ‘Jungler’ as the death squad was called shows that the long arm of the law is catching up to Yahya Jammeh's accomplices around the world.
