Some health workers in the Gambia are due to embark on a nationwide strike today (Wednesday).
They cite the failure of the government to pay them promised allowances.
The strike comes as the Gambia is still responding to the coronavirus pandemic.
Spokesperson of the Nurses and Midwives Association of the Gambia is Sanna Darboe.
