In Nigeria, an unknown number of people have been confirmed killed after an attack over the weekend at the St Francis Catholic Church in Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State, southwest Nigeria.
The attack reportedly occurred on the church premises while the mass service was going on.
Witnesses say the assailants stormed the congregation and started shooting sporadically.
In an interview with WADR, a journalist in Ondo State, Ade, who visited the scene of the incident debunked reports of a bomb attack and also refuted the claims that a priest was kidnapped during the attack.
