Guinea’s trade union movement is calling for a significant increase in the salaries of both public and private sector employees.
They are specifically demanding a 100% raise for civil servants in the public administration and a 70% raise for private sector workers.
To convey their demands to the transitional government, they have submitted a platform of proposals.
The union leaders emphasized that if their demands are not met soon, they may launch a general strike across all public and private administrations.
