The current chairman of Ecowas, Umaro Sissoco Embalo has been meeting with Russia’s President Vladimir Putin in Moscow.
During discussions which largely focused on grain exports, Embalo on behalf of ECOWAS, urged the Russian leader to find a peaceful resolution to the war in Ukraine.
President Putin for his part, hailed Russia's and Guinea-Bissau's long-lasting "friendly relations", adding that he hoped to further develop trade, economic and humanitarian ties.
