A group of Liberians under the banner ‘We the People Movement,’ says it would stage a rally on September 2, 2022 to appreciate the United States Government for imposing sanctions on three of George Weah's ranking officials.
According to the lead campaigner, former Senator John Ballout, the recent sanctions imposed on suspended Minister of States for Presidential Affairs Nathaniel McGill, Port Manager Bill Tweahway and state prosecutor, Syrenius Cephus are indications that the Weah-led government is corrupt.
