The latest United Nations global economy forecast released on Wednesday, says economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic has been disrupted by the war in Ukraine.
The UN, against the backdrop of rising inflationary pressures, revised downward the global growth estimates for 2022.
The World Economic Situation and Prospects (WESP) in mid-2022, indicated that the war in Ukraine has among other things, triggered a devastating humanitarian crisis in Europe, rising food and commodity prices, and exacerbating global inflationary pressures.
