One person has been confirmed dead due to the heavy rainfall in Accra over the past few days. The deceased, a mother of two was electrocuted in her home as the rains intensified.
Thosands have been rendered homeless and properties worth millions of Ghana cedis destroyed and submerged in rain waters.
While the meteorological agency says Ghanaisn should brace themselves for more rain, the National Disaster Management organization in Ghana has urged citizens to switch off all electrical appliances during times of rainfall.
