All is set for the #Fix The Country Demonstration in Accra today. This comes after several attempts by the government to prevent the demonstrators from hitting the streets against hardships being experienced in the country.
Last week, Ghanaians living in London amassed outside the Ghana High Commission demanding that the elected government fix the economy and lessen hardships in the country.
According to the protestors, the incumbent promised better governance and workable solutions to alleviate the plights of Ghanaians, but that was not so.
Ahead of today’s protest, the Accra Regional Police Command has said it has drawn adequate security arrangements, entreating organisers and demonstrators taking part in the march to observe COVID-19 protocols and cooperate with the police for a successful event.
Commander-in-Chief of the Economic Fighters League, Ernesto Yeboah, says today’s demonstration is the first of many in the country.
