Five Ghanaian citizens have petitioned the country’s Commission for Human Rights and Administrative Justice to with immediate effect take action against some government appointees who have failed to declare their assets prior to assuming office.
It follows revelations that more than 20 appointed government officials failed to declare their assets before assuming their state roles contrary to the public offices act of the West African Country.
They want the commission to exact action and force the individuals to declare their assets to help push the country’s anti-corruption campaign.
Ghanaian correspondent, Eric Mawuena Egbeta has been speaking to one of the petitioners, Lolan Sagoe Moses.
