The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has confirmed that two papers in the ongoing West African Senior School Certificate Examinations (WASSCE) have been leaked. 

The council stated that investigations it has conducted have revealed that excerpts from the 2021 Elective Mathematics and English Language tests, had been found circulating the public.

Head of Test Administration at WAEC, George Ohene-Mantey, stated that sections of the papers had circulated on social media before the exam took place earlier this month.

Meanwhile, Education think tank, Africa Education Watch has petitioned the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) to investigate the leakage.
