Ghana's veterinary services directorate has revealed that 2 more farms in the Ashante region have recorded cases of avian influenza known as bird flu.
This latest development is coming after Ghana's Ministry of food and agriculture in July announced that the country recorded cases of bird flu in several regions including Greater Accra, Central and volta.
In the Greater Accra region, the services say the virus is spreading rapidly. As in all 21 poultry farms have been affected. In the Volta region, one more poultry farm has been affected.
