The Ghana union of traders association, GUTA has served notice to shut down its member’s shops from August 29 to protest prevailing economic challenges.

Although traders admit that the covid-19 pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine crisis have had a toll on the economy, they say that the government must rise up to the occasion and proffer prudent solutions.

Dr. Joseph Obeng is president of the Ghana union of traders association.
