Trader unions in Ghana have expressed disappointment over the mid-year budget read by Ghana’s finance minister.
On Monday, Ken Ofori Atta presented the financials of the country in parliament after several postponements.
Ahead of the presentation budget review, the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI), the Ghana Union of Traders’ Association (GUTA), and other trader unions had called for a full review of the tax regime for business.
The high taxes they say are increasing their cost of production, cost of business and reducing their purchasing power as they run into losses.
