Members of Parliament for the largest opposition political party in Ghana, the National democratic congress NDC, have served notice they are ready to take over the leadership of the next parliament.
This follows a contentious election in which the opposition claims it won majority seats. Though the electoral commission has yet to announce the final figures for the parliamentary election, it has been tipped to be a close one with the two leading parties sharing the 275 seats almost equally with one independent candidate.
Speaking to the parliamentary press corps, Member of Parliament for North Tongu Constituency – Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, said the results of the outstanding constituencies will be in their favor.
