The 37 Military Hospital, has been slapped with over 160,000 USD in damages for their involvement in the death of a 27 year old woman during childbirth in November 2015.
The woman passed away as a result of the hospital’s negligence, when she was forced to give birth vaginally instead of via caesarian-section, which she preferred. Her family sued the hospital, and an Accra High Court has ruled in their favour.
