There have been more arrests of persons flouting the mandatory wearing of facemasks in Ghana. This follows the continuous surge in active cases of COVID-19, as a result of non-compliance with preventive protocols.
On Monday, the greater Accra police command arrested 97 persons for flouting the law in the first of many nationwide.
On Thursday, the central regional police command arrested an additional 82 persons who will be processed for court in the coming days. DSP Irene Oppong is the Central Regional Police Public Relations Officer.
