The Delta variant of the COVID-19 pandemic has been detected in a senior high school in the national capital, Accra. 134 students and a staff members of the Achimota School tested positive for the highly contagious the Delta Variant of the virus after 843 persons in the school, including staff and students were tested.
The variant was first detected last month at the country’s ports of entry. However, it had not been detected in the community.
