Nine healthcare workers and two mothers have been apprehended by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO)  of Ghana in connection with baby harvesting and trafficking at some health centres in Accra.

Eleven of them were arrested in a joint operation by EOCO and the Ghana Medical and Dental Council in December 2020 at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital and the Tema General Hospital.

Another operation was concluded this month.
