Opposition against a Legislative Instrument in Ghana seeking to restrict the importation of over 20 items has intensified as the Ghana Union of Traders Association (GUTA) and 5 other groups petition parliament not to pass the Legal instrument.

The groups are expressing concerns that the legislation could negatively affect the prices of goods, disrupt the free flow of goods, and potentially harm businesses.
