Parts of the Greater Accra and Central Regions were left inundated in water over the weekend, following hours of heavy rains. The rains affected areas such as Accra and Kasoa. Some commuters had to abandon their vehicles in the moving water to save themselves while others tried to push what was left of their fast-submerging cars out of the waterway.

In residential areas, water was seen gushing out of homes, destroying electrical equipment, beddings and documents, leaving many destitute and others counting their loses. 

So far, there have been no reported casualties. Here are voices of some of the affected persons.
