Ghana's communication ministry has extended the deadline for the re-registration of sim cards by some four more months. 

Initially, the deadline was slated for March 31and resulted in many panicking for fear they would not be able to meet the deadline amidst long queues.

While the extension has been welcomed by many, the legality or otherwise of the collection of the citizens biometric data.
