A public health analyst and Professor of Epidemiology in Ghana, Prof Fred Binka is calling on the Ghanaian government to take another look at its decision to relax mandatory wearing of face masks in public places.
Ghana’s president, Nana Akufo-Addo in his 28th address to Ghanaians on his government’s handling of the COVID 19 pandemic relaxed a number of COVID measures including the reopening of the country’s land and sea borders.
The decision has been welcomed by many who argue that reopening Ghana’s land borders will help boost trade and contribute to resuscitating the ailing economy.
But on other measures regarding wearing of face masks, Professor of Epidemiology and the Vice Chancellor of the University of Health and Allied Sciences however tells correspondent, Eric Mawuena Egbeta, that the measure needs another look.
